Creative Curriculum – Summer Term

Ancient Civilisations

Can you help your child learn to read and understand the meaning to these topic related words for

Ancient Civilisations?

What Are We Learning?

In English, we are learning about the Titanic!  Children will be researching and learning about the events that happened, as well as learning about modal verbs, relative clauses and how to use commas for parenthesis.

Children will then be looking at newspaper articles, with our main piece of writing being a newspaper about the events that happened.

In Maths, we have been learning about angles this half term.  Children have been using protractors to accurately measure angles as well as drawing them too.  We are looking at properties of shapes and how we can work out missing angles using facts that we are learning.
